Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal is done to remove unwanted hair from the body with the use of long pulse laser. The use of lasers to remove body and facial hair has been introduced to the market in 1997. The procedure needs to be performed by a doctor or a well-trained laser professional. The heat from the laser is what will stop the skin’s hair follicles from producing any hair.
Body and facial hair
Body and facial hair will grow in cycles at different times. There will be about 6-8 treatments that will be needed at intervals of 8-12 weeks that would be necessary to stop the growth of hair on a given skin area. Laser hair removal is mostly done in women, though men can also get unwanted hair removed. The procedure is usually done to remove hair in the underarms, face, pubic area, lower and upper legs, upper lip, chin, arms, toes, chest and neck.
Laser hair removal works through targeting the skin’s dark pigment, thus, it works best when one has a pale skin with dark and coarse grained hair. The results will be better in lighter skin with darker and coarser hair. If you have areas on your body with dense, coarse, and dark hair growth, then you might just be a candidate for laser hair removal.
